3:00 PM - 5:00 PM    Jr NBA Skills Challenge - Jr NBA Skills Challenge
The Jr. NBA Skills Challenge presented by Under Armour provides boys and girls, ages 13 and younger, the opportunity to showcase their fitness through dribbling, shooting, and rebounding skills competition in the sport of basketball. The program is free to all participants and organizations. First, second, and third place finishers in each age and gender group advance to a Regional Competition. The Regional Competition will be held in New York City at a date to be determined later. First place champion in each age and gender group from each of the eight Regional Competitions will automatically advance to the National Finals. The Regional Competition Champions will compete in the National Finals. Finalist win an all-expense paid trip to New York City, receives gift bags, attend special events, interact with NBA/WNBA/G League Players, Legends, and Draftees, and attend the 2019 NBA Draft presented by State Farm.Snow Date: Fri, Feb 2nd

P.H.I.T. by Phillip Harr’s exists to provide high quality, affordable training to improve the skills and health of our members and the communities we serve. P.H.I.T by Phillip Harr offers a competitive environment for kids that want to improve their health and performance. Children will be provided with cardio, agility, and plyometric programs that improve Futsal, Soccer, and Basketball. The program will transfer to any other sports requiring agility, fitness, or endurance. P.H.I.T by Phillip Harr provides classes that focus on being active and improving both mobility and performance. Sessions include 30 minutes of fundamental skills work and 30 minutes of scrimmages.

We are partnering up with Senior Services and Social and Youth Services to present a fun-filled, "create your very own work of art" paint night party! Make it a family event or bring a friend. No experience necessary. We will provide supplies; artist (and Multi-media Exploration instructor) Dolores Howard will explain what to do; and you will go home with your original work of art! Register either at Leisure Services or the Senior Center.

Teaches children the basic motor skills necessary to play organized basketball. The program focuses on teaching children and their parents to focus on skills in dribbling, passing, and shooting. One parent must participate with the child. Each participantwill receive a t-shirt and certificate at the end of the program.

The Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help victims of any age - adults (about 12 years and older) and Pediatric (infants and children up to 12 years of age). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.

Is an authentic and traditional take on realistic self-defense. Taking old concepts from the era of Samurai and Shogun to fit modern times. From simple sleeve grabs to escape, to escalation of throws, take downs, holds, chokes and containment. Jukido helps you think outside the box to assess your options and situation to help defuse or taking action. Jukido is for everyone and anyone; children, adults, young and old. Two back to back workshops each workshop is 30 minutes in length. Children will perform experiments, participate in demonstration and have a take home item at the end of the program. Animal Friends - Interactive and hands on activities will assist preschoolers with this introduction to animals. Children will learn about the sounds and noises animals make, the types of coverings fur, skin, and how they grow. Fluttering Birds - Children will be excited to learn all about their fine feathered friends. They will discover how to match bird mates, see what eggs are produced by which species and learn how birds use their beaks as tools. Preschoolers will take home a bird warbler to practice their bird songs. Science of Music - Boom, tap, smack, cha-cha-cha listen to the sounds and rhythm of the science of music. Children will feel, hear, and see the vibrations that help create music in this hands on exploration of music. Mad Mixtures - Interactive and hands on activities will assist pre-schoolers with this introductionto mixtures and science of chemistry.

P.H.I.T by Phillip Harr provides classes that focus on being active and improving both mobility and performance. Sessions include 30 minutes of fundamental skills work and 30 minutes of scrimmages.
